“Catching Hope Ministry Refreshing and
Renewing through Fishing”
Hello, my Name is Allen Dix,
My wife is Anita Ayers of
Anita Ayers Ministries, Pastor of Shiloh' Place. I have enjoyed
fishing all my life. It is a thrill to take people out and watch
them hook and land big fish and fight it into the boat. Fishing
has always been my place to go and relax, take a day off and
just do something for me. The Lord has given me three gifts:
Cooking, Fishing, and Playing Drums. I play drums for the
worship team at our church. We are now feeding the
homeless every month and I am blessed to cook for them. I
believe that God has given us talents to help and encourage
others. I have a desire on my heart to do something for those
who need or want to get out and fish. I’ve seen my wife doing
the work of the ministry: talking to people and praying for
them, making decisions that only she can make, and the
paper work as well. I don't know how she keeps up with all the
challenges of her day. I want to bless these hard working men
and women who really deserve a day off. They can come fishing
and be refreshed and renewed so they can go back out help the
many hurting people in our city. This is why I founded,
“CATCHING HOPE MINISTRIES.”
Many people don’t have the
resources to hire a guide. That can be expensive. I want to do
this for these dear people free of charge. I have a 21 foot
center console boat and can accommodate two people comfortably.
We want to take people and ministry workers out for a day of
fishing and site-seeing in the beautiful intercostal and Gulf
waters.
If you have a boat we would
appreciate having you get involved with what we’re doing. We are
also accepting donations of used fishing rods, reels, equipment,
tackle, boats, motors, or anything else that we can use to
further this dream.
